Brantford Tournament dates and more!
Good Morning All!
We finally have (hopefully) a confirmed schedule for the Walter Gretzky Tournament in Brantford in January. Time does fly!
JAN 8 2010 - Gretzky Centre - Blue, 11 a.m. Brantford Pizza Pizza vs. Mount Forest Rams
JAN 8 2010 - Brantford Civic Centre - 3:45 p.m. Mount Forest Rams vs. Waterloo Henry's
JAN 9 2010 - Brantford Civic Centre - 11:30 a.m. Mount Forest Rams vs. Dundas Panthers
JAN 10 2010 - FINALS!!!!
A PARENT-FREE ZONE
With a tournament the size of this one, there are some pretty specific tournament rules/regulations/requests handed down to the Head Coach, the major one being in this case, that parents are not permitted in the dressing rooms. This is rather standard, given the age and ability of our players. So, to prepare for this, we are going to implement this policy immediately - as of this weekend (SUNDAY - KINCARDINE) to ensure we are ready for Brantford. Our Atoms have been together for a couple of months and they should be ready to start dressing on their own. The coaches and trainers are always available to help with any equipment issues, and for the next little while, tie skates. Coach Jim is confident that eventually, each player will learn to tie their own skates as well.
RAFFLE TICKETS
Just a gentle reminder that anyone with Raffle tickets MUST have them in this week. If you can drop them off to me ASAP, that would be great. Otherwise, you must have them turned in to Coach Jim on Sunday in Kincardine. Otherwise, your ballots won't make the draw.
CHRISTMAS COMES EARLY
By now you've likely seen the special surprise each player received at practice. These garment bags belong to the players and were purchased with the proceeds of YOUR 50/50 Draw support. THANK YOU! Each player can carry their jerseys to and from games in these bags.

I have spoke with the editor of The Confederate and we will have the corrected story in the paper next week. She apologized for the error. Get your scissors ready parents!!!!
