A CHANGE TO THE SCHEDULE
Just to clear up your Holiday schedule – the Jan. 3 2010 game in Mount Forest has been cancelled due to the final day of the Reeves Challenge Cup. Please reserve Jan. 16 at 9 a.m. in Tiverton instead.
50/50 SALES
You may have noticed a smiling face greeting you at the door of each home game and inviting you to purchase your 50/50 tickets. Ann and Samantha White assumed this responsibility for the first half of our season and we appreciate them doing so.
However, for the remainder of the season, we are assigning families to assist with this task to that no one family has to handle it all on their own. We have a bit of a break until our next home game so the weeks are as follows:
Jan. 17 – Corbin Peter’s Family
Jan. 24 – Chris Plume’s Family
Jan. 31 – Travis McLean’s Family
Feb. 7 – Jordon Allen’s Family
Feb. 14 – Alex Droog’s Family
Feb. 21 – Dalton Harrison’s Family
Feb. 28 – Kyle Hieber’s Family
March 7 – Chris Kelly’s Family
March 14 – Quentin Kelly’s Family
March 21 – Garrason Lewis’s Family
March 28 – Austin Malott’s Family
If you are unable to attend your game it is your responsibility to arrange your replacement with another family. This job is very straightforward and if you have any questions, Ann will be more than happy to help answer them.
1. Be at the arena to set up the 50/50 table NO LATER THAN 1 HOUR BEFORE GAME TIME.
2. Make sure you ASK people if they would like to purchase a ticket – Ann has found this greatly impacts sales. Tickets are $2 each of 3 for $5.
3. You will receive a float from the family from the week prior (e.g. I will hand off to the Plumes at the end of my shift on Jan. 16). The float consists of 3 $5 bills, 5 $2 coins, and 5 $1 coins for a total of $30. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the float accounted for BEFORE your turn your funds over to the next family.
4. You will also receive a roll of double tickets. One ticket goes to the patron, the other to the draw. At the end of the first period, tally remove your float, divide the balance in two and give the team’s half to Ann. Then find the winner and present them with their prize. If you cannot locate the winner – you must wait for someone to check in at the 50/50 table after the game.
Thank you for your assistance with this task. The 50/50 is a major fundraiser for our team. It is what allows our players to have the little extras they so enjoy – such as team events and the team garment bags.
See you at the Arena~ Sarah
