Tournament notes
Hello Atom LLers!

What an exciting game!!! So glad I made it in time. By the way - if any of your parents have mastered the art of being in two places at one time, tell them to let me know!!!

It sounds like you had a very productive meeting - thank you Coralea. I've attached the synopsis so you can have a look and refresh your memory. We will chat again before the game in Ayton (6:30 p.m. game - so 6 p.m. meeting ok?)

Thank you to everyone for lending a hand. That way no one is over loaded!

See you at the Arena,

Sarah
 MEETING NOTES BELOW.......

Atom House Tournament Meeting

Event: Feb. 13 – one day

FOOD BOOTH:

We are investigating food options (chilli & hot dogs) but have agreed upon having a full day food booth in the Plume Room. We require 8 pans of Rice Krispy squares. Coralea volunteered her mom (Yea Donna!) to make muffins. Sarah will provide fruit for sale. Coralea will offer breakfast sandwiches from 8 a.m. –11 a.m.; which have gone over well in the past.

All parents are needed to help staff the food booth throughout the day.  We will also need to assign parents to the 50/50 table for each game. Therefore, a sign up sheet will be circulated. If you can’t decide on a time to volunteer, one can be selected for you.

Sarah will create colourful signage to help direct patrons upstairs to the food booth.

Parents have agreed to provide two $10 items for the Raffle table. All proceeds from the Raffle go towards the Atom House Team.

Ed & Pauline are investigating Spirit items – Cow Bells – stickers etc. and will report back on Thursday.

So far most of the teams are local – Shelburne etc.

FUNDRAISING:

Re: 50/50 we will be able to keep our earnings, however, anything we earn from the Raffle will go to MFMH. In return, we will be refunded our entry fee of approximately $500.

I am waiting for confirmation whether or not we are able to keep our Cow Bell sales.

SCOTIABANK FUNDS:

As far as the remaining from the Scotiabank donation, there was a small amount remaining and that was applied to the Garment Bags purchased for the team at Christmas. The remaining (and majority of the) balance for the bags was paid for by the 50/50 earnings.

We’ll check in with each other on Thursday before the game in Ayton.

Thank you,

Sarah
