Atom Rams Meet the Hanover Falcons, on Sunday November 7... Near Victory!
The Atom LL Rams met the Hanover Falcons this past Sunday, and nearly pulled this one 'out'!
Early in the game, the Ram forwards pounded the Falcons with shot after shot. Goalie Rourke Elliot was stellar when the Falcons retaliated, but the game remained scoreless well into the third period.
Then, 7 minutes into the third, Eli McCook delivered the Rams' only goal of the game, putting it past the Falcon tender, into the corner. It looked like the game was won, though Ram forwards continued their assault, and Ram defense were worked hard.
With only 1.5 minutes remaining, the Falcons, on a face-off, took the Rams by surprise, and managed to put one in under the watchful eye of Elliot, in a fluke goal that tied the game.
Game final: 1-1
Next game, November 14 against the Drayton Defenders!
