Drayton Defenders & Walkerton Capitals
BOYS PLAY WITH HEART!
The Atom LL Rams met the Drayton Defenders in what could be their most hard-fought game of the season, thus far. January 22 the Rams travelled to Drayton for an exciting match that began with a goal by Colby Storey, assisted by Eli McCook and Parker Snyders.
Tied at 1-1, the second period saw all of the action in the Drayton net, and Mount Forest goals by Garrason Lewis, Nathan Zeinstra, Kaleb Rice and Eli McCook. Assists went to Rice, Cole Whitten, and McCook.
Drayton retaliated with a vengeance, and in the third period came back with five goals to steal the win in the last minute 6-5 victory.
Next day, on home ice, the Rams battled back against the Walkerton Capitals. The Caps started the scoring with a goal in the second, in spite of great defence by great defenders: Noah Felsbourg, Alexander Varello, Ben Wildeman, Garrason Lewis and Tanner Gordon. The Greatest Atom Goalie EVER kept the Rams in the game though, and in the third period McCook, taking an assist from Whitten, put the team on the board.
Rice delivered the Ram's second goal and Tyler Duncan delivered the winning goal on an assist from winger Rice. Final score 3-2 for the Rams!
