Mount Forest vs Arthur
Rams meet the Arthur Atoms head on!
The Atom Rams hosted the Arthur Atoms this past Sunday, on home ice.
First period action saw Nathan Zeinstra open the scoring with a puck from Kaleb Rice and Tyler Duncan. Arthur retaliated, putting the teams in a tie for the start of second period action.
Two minutes into the second, defenceman turned forward, Tanner Gordon, popped in the team's second goal, assisted by Tyler Stewart. With 4 minutes remaining, Eli McCook, assisted by Gordon, threw in a top shelfer to result in a 3-1 lead. Arthur retaliated, but so did the Rams as Parker Snyders, assisted by Cole Whitten fired in the team's fourth goal. In spite of the opposition's hard shots, goalie Rourke kept us in the game, helped out by stellar defence.
Score at the bottom of the second 4-2 for the Rams.
Third period action saw Zeinstra produce his second goal of the game, assisted by Tanner, and the crowd went wild! And, it didn't stop there... Gordon, unassisted, fired in his second of the game, unassisted!
Final score: Mount Forest Rams 6, Arthur 2
