Atom Girls, U11, 2010/2011 (Mt Forest Minor Hockey Association)

The Atom Girls do it again!! After a nail-biter game Friday night against Markdale (2-1 Markdale), the team went on to play Owen Sound on Saturday.  MF's Samantha Gans scored a single goal in the second period, and goaltender Marissa Cottingham with a shut-out, the Rams advanced onto the Consolation final Sunday.  Blyth-Brussels and Mount Forest went through 3 periods scoreless.  Sudden-death over-time was ended when Samantha Gans scored!  1-0 MF!! As promised, Coach Kevin was seen sporting women's attire--a very lovely ensemble, after the Atom Girls took gold in Orangeville Sweethearts Tournament.

The Atom Girls were up against stiff competition this weekend in the Orangeville Tigers Sweethearts Tournament.  With a strong defense, fast forward lines, and excellent goal tending, the girls beat out South Huron for the Gold medal in a shoot-out--final score 2-0.

The Rams Atom Girls are off to a great start at the Orangeville Sweethearts Tournament this weekend, winning both their Friday games.
