Mount Forest Local League Home Opener : Fast Start
The start of the scoring was led by Jessie Robinson after some pre game stick problems. Nolan Officer worked the puck in deep, passed to Conner Kerr who timed a nice saucer pass across the crease to Jessie for the goal.  Striking next was newly appointed center Darren Lozan receiving a pass from Tyler McCracken to hammer the puck in for his first goal of the season.  Listowel answered right back to make it 2-1. With 1:56 left in the first period, Jessie Robinson Scored again with a pass from Nolan Officer.

.  41 seconds later Listowel answered right back to make it 3-2 for Mount Forest. Thinking the period was over Mount Forest capitalized on the clock and scored with 56 seconds left.  Nolan Officer then broke in for a goal to make it 4 -2. Mount forest wasn’t done with the first yet, Connor Kerr receiving a pass from Nolan Officer with 2 seconds on the clock to make the score 5 -2 at the end of the first period.

                Having a short bench caused the scoring in the second to slow down and after a penalty free 1st period Mount Forest received a few penalties to slow the game to a halt, until 1:13 left in the second when Jessie Robinson received a pass from Nathan Marshall, which allowed Jessie to rush hard on the goalie one on one and rip it passed the keeper top right side without the goalie even moving.  With the second closing down Mount Forest eased up to catch their breath, Listowel ceased the opportunity and with 43 seconds left scored to make it 6 – 3 at the end of the second.

                Littered with penalties in the third Mount Forest was starting to show their short bench. Listowel scored at 12:07 to make it 6 – 4. Shaking it off Mount Forest got one more goal at 4:25 to finish the game off with 7 – 4.
