GOOD EFFORT NOT REWARDED
The Atom Reps took to the ice again after a week rest from the Bill Batten Tournament. Monday night saw the Rams host a hot Listowel Cyclone team in Clifford.
The boys played a very good game and showed a lot of improvement in moving the puck put of their own zone. After holding Listowel off the score board for 9 minutes in the first period they gave up a last minute goal when a long pass was intercepted and put in the back of the net.
The second period saw the Rams mount some good offence chances only to be turned away by the Cyclones goalie. After missing at one end of the ice as often happens Listowel came back down and scored 2 more late period goals.
The Rams played a good 3rd period but seem to run out of desire in the last 5 minutes and gave up 3 late goals for a 6-0 final.
The coaching staff was in agreement that the score was not a real reflection of the game. As long as the Rams keep up the hard work the wins will not be long in coming.
