Wow what a great year the boys have had so far - hard to believe it's almost over!
The boys should be proud with not only how they played in Tournaments and the Season but how they were all supportive of each other in not only our WINS but our Losses and Individual Accomplishments.
Some examples are: The boys cheering Joseph on when he skates like the wind because they all know he can, when Noah waved Alexander on to go with the puck instead of passing it onto him and when Alexander go back to the bench you would think he scored with all the cheering and pats on the back. We can't forget Riley's winning goal, you would think they all scored it the way they were celebrating. What about our amazing goaltending, with a combined 17 shut outs so far! We have played 50 games with more to go, 37 WINS (the most in Mount Forest Minor Hockey this season), 4 Ties, 206 goals for (Most in Mount Forest Minor hockey this season), 101 against.
When I asked some of the boys recently what they thought of this season I had so many words thrown at me ....... Amazing, Awesome, Fun, Memorable, Hilarious, Best Season Yet!
The coaching staff will be having a difficult time choosing who will receive the awards at the yearly Banquet. Many of the boys are MVP's, Have Improved by huge amounts and they ALL deserve "Most Sportsman Like" Award.
The next set of play-off games are going to be the best of 5 against AEMHA Ice Dogs White with the first one Sunday March 16th at 1:00pm, Tara Arena.
