LLFHL Bronze Medallists 2015
After some hard fought games, 1 tie 1-1, 1 win 3-2 and 1 loss 1-0, you ladies made it in to the bronze medal game and WON!!
For all the hard work, determination and being there for each other, you make friendships for life and not to mention making a whole town proud!!!
Looking forward to the Provincials.
The Mount Forest Rams participated in the Lower Lakes Championship Weekend in Oshawa this past weekend.
Game one against the Highland Storm, resulted in a 1-1 tie when Kiawna Bonsma passed the puck to Mackenzie Pridham who’s quick shot found the back of the net. The Rams beat Caledon 3-2 in game two. Alex McCabe scored twice and Gillian Vandermeer once. Assists were credited to Amy Martin (2), Raegan Elliot and Danny Gordon. Despite outplaying them and outshooting them 20-8, Mount Forest was unable to score against Flamborough, losing 1-0.
The girls were matched against Caledon for the bronze medal game. The game remained scoreless until early in the third when Caledon scored on a power play. Mount Forest tied the game a few minutes later when Martin took a shot from the point and was tipped in by Gordon. With neither team able to break the tie the game went into a 4 on 4 overtime period.
A minute into OT Brooke-Lynn Hoffele lobbed the puck up to Pridham who passed it to Carmen Underwood in front of the net. Underwood getting her own rebound scored the game winning goal and the Mount Forest won Bronze.
