The
pee wee rep Rams schedule had a back 2 back on the weekend vs a solid team from
BCH with game 1 in Hensall Saturday afternoon.
From the drop of the puck to the last buzzer the Rams played with focus and determination. Momentum swung many times for each team as the Rams evened the score in the the third period and finished with a 2-2 draw. Nick Dowling scored the first Ram goal assisted by Nolan Andrews and Grey Hugli-Armstrong. Lucas Fidler scored with helpers going to Nolan Andrews and Tyler Mason. Player of the game went to Nolan Aitken.
Game 2 was back at the Rams home barn on Sunday afternoon. A rivalry certainly in the making with plenty of back and forth on ice battles that had the home team down 2-0 until late in the second period before Lucas Fidler potted one with apples going to Nolan Andrews and Owen Lillico. After falling behind by 2 goals in the 3rd the Rams continued to push hard while falling short on many chances. Goaltender James Sales, after playing a fantastic game was pulled with less than 1 minute to play for the extra attacker which paid off with his second goal of the game, Lucas Fidler. Assists went to Cole Dewar and Josh Kelly. Time however ran out on this day with the Rams falling 3-2. Player of the game went to Nick Dowling.
