January Star.....
With the SilverStick Tournament waiting for us and January seem to fly by, a new Hockey Star is long overdue.
Now this girl does some "flying" of her own... playing on the High School hockey-, basketball-, volleyball- and soccer-teams, as well as participation in badminton and tennis...
She loves hockey because she can be part of an awesome team, where she can work her butt off, get yelled at by her beloved coaches (...and someone other than her dad), score the odd goal, getting body checked to the ground just to get up fast and laugh...and of course creating bonds with the girls on her team, friendships like something you just can’t make anywhere else!
And a smile seems to be a beautiful standard feature on Hayley face and my first memory of Hayley comes in the form of a picture a few years ago doing just that....Smile!
As for her coaches, they see her as a girl that comes to the arena always ready to give it all!
Most of her opponents underestimated her because of her size, but whatever she lacks in height she makes up for playing with grit, determination and her heart.
And for that HAYLEY....you are our.....
"HOCKEY STAR OF THE DAY"
