Strong game vs walkerton results in win
Alex D. had 4 points with 2 goals and 2 assists and was named the MVP for the home team as Mount Forest came out on top with a 5-3 win over Walkerton as part of the Reeves Challenge week end.
After losing the last 2 games against Walkerton, the boys played a very solid game Friday and came out on top 5-3.
Alex D. had a 4 point game and was named the MVP of the game for the home team.
Mount Forest took a commanding 3-0 lead after the first period with goals by Alex D. , Carsten C. with his first of the year and Ben Z. adding the third tally.
Walkerton put 2 in the net in the 2nd with Alex D. answering with his 2nd of the game.
Mount Forest got their 5th and final goal of the game on an absolutely amazing pass from Alex D. to Kieren W. who put it away for his second of the year and second in as many games.
With the Walkerton goalie pulled, Walkerton managed to sneak one by Tyler R. who along with Kurtis S., played very well in between the pipes.
As has been the case in nearly all games this season, the defence group of Jarod B. Carsten C. Owen H. and Alex D. played very well at both ends of the ice to limit the Walkerton teams scoring chances.
The boys will have a long day ahead of them tomorrow as they travel to Arthur for a tournament.
