Exhibition Start
The Bantam House Rams had a great pre-season game verses Listowel on Saturday October 3,2009. Although the out come was a 4-3 lose the team played well.
The home side opened the scoring just over 2 minutes into play. Macaulay took a pass from Brad to sink the puck into the net. Listowel came back 2 min later to tie things up. With just a minute and a half left in the first Gavin took a wrist shot from the blue line to have the puck go off an opposing player and just over the goalie into the net giving the home side a 2 -1 lead going into the second.
The second period saw the opponents take some control and score 3 goals for a 4 -2 lead. Again with just a minute and a half remaining with a hard slap shot Gavin smoked a fast one past the Listowel goal leaving him no chance to save and bringing the home team 1 goal away from tieing things up.
With great team work and consistent chances from both sides the third period remained scoreless. Leaving the final a 4 - 3 win for the Listowel team.
