Game Shutout for #30
On Saturday October 17th the Mount Forest team took to the ice for another Pre-Season game, this time versus Shelburne and skated away with a 3 - 0 win.
Once again the team played well together with consistent passing and taking a lot of shots on goal. The defense worked together to fend off the opposing team and helped to assist goaltender Nathan M to his first shutout of the season.
The home team scored a goal in every period with Willson F starting the scoring with just under 2 minutes remaining in the first period. Coming in for his first game of the pre-season defense Micah B took a shot at the net 6 minutes into the second to give the home team a 2 - 0 lead. Just over 3 minutes into the third and Keith H, on a break away, scored for the home side to end the game scoring for a 3 - 0 win. All three goals of the game were recorded as unassisted.
Both teams looked strong throughout the game, and the visiting team had some good chances throughout the game. Goaltender Nathan M played strong and the Mount Forest squad is looking good together.
The team looks forward to their home opener of the season scheduled for Saturday October 24th at 5:30 vs Wiarton.
