October Round Up
Perseverance has paid off!! The boys efforts during the Reeves Cup game with Durham resulted in their first win of the season! Mount Forest earned a 2-0 victory on Sunday October 30th. Rourke was solid between the pipes recording the shut out. Sully and Jake provided the goal scoring punch with assists going to Riley, Jake, Cory and Nole. Cole, Alex, Luke and Garrason were instrumental with their forechecking and attack on Durham while Quentin and Warren provided solid defense to assist Rourke.

Overall October was not kind to the Peewee Rams. They battled Walkerton, TCDMHA, Drayton, Minto and Blyth but fell short. We tied Shallow Lake and Bruce Peninsula. The team went a combined 1-7-2. For many of the games the third period was the killer. Now with 11 skaters the other teams are being put on notice that we mean business until the final buzzer.
We have taken our share of penalties; of course the head shot is a popular one.
Our practice times, typically Saturday 7:00am, have been well received.
The boys even have a personal trainer. Thanks Heather. We hope that all the players are completing their training and filling it out on their sheets.
The players even snuck in a few games of bowling between team pictures and a journey to Wiarton. There were many strikes thrown and a few gutter balls mixed in as well for a great afternoon. As well thanks to the Whittens for bringing the cupcakes and other assorted treats!
This weekend we look forward to the Legion Peewee tournament here in Mount Forest.
