NOVICE LOCAL LEAGUE, U9, 2012/2013 (Mt Forest Minor Hockey Association)

The Novice team started the playoffs with a tough loss against the Hanover Falcons.  Then they faced the Listowel Cyclones team #2 and out skated them, however again came up short in overtime.  The Novice team didn't give up and faced the Cyclones team #2 on home ice. The rams skated hard and never gave as they were determined to get a win under their belts for the first round of playoffs.  A close game with only a one goal difference going into the third, the rams knocked one home to defeat the Cyclones!

The Novice Local League went out with a bang after finishing off their regular season with a tournament in Drayton.  The first game was against Beverly who they had won against in the Erin Tournament in December by only one goal.   

The Novice Team headed to Listowell to face the 2nd Listowell team and had a tough loss.  Down 4 players headed into the game, the team wasn't giving up.  During the first 5 minutes of play Farnell got sick, leaving the team with 8 skaters, one of which was AP Matthew MCLELLAN.  The Rams had a few others who were not feeling well but didn't give up.  Owen LILLICO scored the goal for the team, and Brianna GORDON took 26 shots on net.  Despite losing 5-1, the Novice team never gave up and had a lot of heart.  Hopefully everyone is feeling better after a nice relaxing Christmas!  Merry ...

We're on a roll!  The team is on a 7 game winning streak, way to go Mount Forest Rams!  The players have really come together as a team, skating hard and passing to one another, and mostly having fun.  Brianna Armstrong got her first goal of the season on Saturday November 10th against Mildmay assisting in a 12-3 win.  Despite playing 3 players short against Listowell on Sunday the Rams came out ahead with an 8-3 win.  There have been many goals scored this season, but most importantly there have been a ton of assists by all players, keep up the team work!  Lets keep the streak going this ...
