We can only learn from our losses. It will teach us to build better plays, work on stick handling and passing, and proper checking techniques.
Even though there was a lot of heavy hitting and hard skating, we didn't succeed in gaining a goal in the first two periods. The boys spent a lot of time in the slot, and were unsuccessful to get the puck in the net. After some encouraging words from Coach Kevin before the third period, Aiden (#16) landed it in, with an assist from Joel (#15) to make it our only goal of the game. Just an FYI Coach Kevin, when you pull the goalie (Tyler R #30), the crowd gets a little tense!
From my viewpoint, the boys skated hard, and should be proud of the skills they demonstrated throughout the game. It was not an easy game, as I think both teams fared about equal. If the team works hard on some plays, and the boys strategically know where to go, I know this will result in some positive games for the boys. We have to work hard to succeed! Keep those plays going boys! Be proud of what you have accomplished so far!
