What a Weekend!
Reeves Cup win on Saturday against Dundalk and another win on Sunday against Blyth-Brussels made the weekend a busy one!

Reeves Cup Game against Dundalk Storm

After some speed and shooting trials by selected players from both teams, Rams Bantam LL, played a hard game. Two goals scored in the first period, the first by Aiden (#16) assisted by Alex K (#9), and the second goal by Chris (#11) assisted by Joel (#15) had us in the lead with a 2-0 score. The boys managed to land another goal in Dundalk’s net in the second period by Daniel (#4) assisted by Devon (#24) & Kyle D (#17). It didn't take Dundalk long to tie the score 3-3. That put players and fans on edge! It stayed a tied game even though Sully (#3) assisted by Aiden (#16) & David (#20) managed to squeak another in the net. We pulled ahead by 1 with the last goal of the game scored by Jordon (#14) assisted by Daniel (#4) & Alex K (#9)! It was a tough game of many to come!

Sunday Game against Blyth-Brussels Bulldogs -Black

For the most part....a WOW for the boys! From my point of view, this game was a hard one! The boys played hard, and were forced to play harder with the amount of checking that was displayed.

First two goals were scored by Devon (#24) assisted by Chris (#11) for the first one, and and the second goal assisted by Daniel (#4) & Brennon (#5). A third had us pull ahead in the first period with a goal by Jordan (#14) assisted by Joel (#15) & Alex D (#21). Defense worked hard at pinching the puck, and keeping it in the defending team’s end! We managed to get a fourth goal in the second period by Joel (#15) assisted by Aiden (#16) & Jordon (#14). Their were a lot of in-properly used checking, resulting in penalties. At one point, there was a party in the penalty box with 3 in from our team and 4 from Blyth. Goalie Tyler (#30) had a workout with the amount of goals he saved, and being rushed at by the other team.

The game was called a little early due to time with a final score of 4-3.

Coach Kevin's Corner

Coach Kevin wanted me to pass along to parents and players that he felt the first period of the Sunday game was the best to date the boys have played. I think this is just a taste of what we will experience as parents from this great group of boys!

I hope to expand my writing to include a little more fun, so its not all technical. Please bare with me as I am learning as I go! :)
