ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU

When the buzzer sounded tonight it not only signaled an end to a 4-0 victory for the Rams over West Grey, but the end of the 2013-2014 season. As I look back over the season I am very proud of the team the way they worked in games and practices. The steady improvement in their individual play and especially in their role as team players. I would like to thank my coaching associates MATT MORGAN, IAN MCCAREY AND JEFF ARMSTRONG. Your hard work and commitment made my job very enjoyable. A very special thank you to AMANDA RICE for keeping all things running smoothly throughout the year.

PLAYOFF RUN ENDS WITH A WIN
Submitted
By Jim Donald on Mar 16, 2014 (1099 views)
The Rams played their last playoff game against AEMHA on Sunday and scored early and often in the first period they racked up 5 goals. The second period was a quiet affair with the team resting on their lead. The third period started where the 1st period left off and the Atoms tallied 4 more goals to stretch the lead to 9-0 before surrendering a lone goal to wreck Owen Morgan's shutout bid. Even though the team went 4-2 in the playoff round they came up 1 win short of moving on to the playoff round.

BACK TO BACK WINS

The Rams are riding a 2 game winning streak after losing a tough 6-4 game in Goderich. Traveling to Tara Monday night the boys skated away with an impressive 6-2 victory. Tuesday night the Rams faced a tough Bruce Peninsula team although the Rams controlled the game with under 2 minutes left in the 3rd period it was a 2-2 score. Mount Forest won the faceoff in their end and an excellent pass off of the boards to a streaking Jack Weiser was the deciding factor as Jack outskated the defence and on a nifty move slide the puck by the opposing goalie to seal the victory.

GREAT SERIES COMES TO AN END
Submitted
By Jim Donald on Feb 12, 2014 (757 views)
The Mount Forest Rams gave all they had but came up short in the final game of the series. It took 6 games for Hanover to eliminate the Rams from the OMHA playdowns. In game 6 Hanover broke open a 0-0- game late in the 2nd period with 3 quick goals. But the Rams came out flying to start the 3rd period and scored 2 quick goals to narrow the score to 3-2. Despite good pressure the Rams could not score the tying goal. Hanover increased their lead to 4-2 only to see Mount Forest score to make it a one goal game again. The comeback was denied with 2 late Hanover goals to seal the victory for ...
