Heart Breaker
The girls travelled to Nottawasaga on the weekend to attend the Clearview Ice Cats Tournament, the first game started off in a very tight battle against BAD girls Hockey association.

This game started off with us  behind 1-0 as the BAD girls took the lead. The girls finally woke up this was the first time this season they have trailed in a game. In the 2nd we broke loose with an onslaught of shots , finally Lexi R scored on the PP from Chaise and Karlee R. Look out here comes Chaise and buries the natural hat trick 4-1 with assists going to Lexi W 2 Lexi R 1 and Bailey. Lexi R gets the next goal from Josie and Jordyn. Alyssa rounds out the scoring from Jordyn and Lexi R. 6-1 final after coming from behind what a great way to start the tournament. Player of the game was Lexi R who was a bulldog all over the ice.

Game 2 vs Timmins early Saturday morning and this was not a good game with 4 girls fighting the flu bug and a very early start our girls just didn't have there legs and got trounced by a score of 4-0 this is the first time we have been shut out all season and first loss of the year. This team was very physical and really tried to chop down a lot of trees with there sticks! Our girls where very frustrated with all the hooking and slashing but regardless of that they beat us fair and square. Jordyn was player of the game with a strong defensive effort. This was one to remember if we play them again, this Timmins team is not used to losing so the scouts tell us.

After the game we have a long wait for the next game at 4 and a lot of prep time but instead we exercised our golf skills at mini golf and coach Kevin cleaned up the adult division. This was a great team building event the girls where having a ball and really gelling as a group which is great to see and when I say gelling I mean LOUD. After lunch back to the arena where the concession people cleaned up selling apparel to all the Mom's on the team and a couple dad's Christmas shopping!.
Game 3 it's do or die time vs. the Woodstock Wildcats, with the warm up done and the girls very focused as a group wanting to make it to the finals. The singing and dancing began in the room and WOW what a bad bunch of singers and the only ones with any good dance moves was the coaches! The game begins and 2 minutes into the game Brianna (big B) gets us on the board form Tori and Chaise. The girls are pumped and really want this one 2 minutes later Big B buries her 2nd of the game parked in front of the net from Chaise & Tori. Chaise breaks through the defense and roofs it 3-0 from Alyssa, we are off to the races. 15 seconds later Lexi R .Tori follows that up from Chaise 5-0 and the girls won't stop after getting beat so soundly in the morning they are still angry after the first loss of the year. Chaise breaks in again 6-0, Lexi R scores her 3rd of the game for the hat trick  her first one ever as as an Atom girl from Alyssa. Chaise finishes off the scoring with her 3rd of the game for the hat trick this is her 6th hat trick of the season. Final score 9-1 and what a difference it makes when our girls decided to skate not watch the other team this was probably one of the best games I have seen and it was a complete team effort from every girl that touched the ice great job girls. Player of the game was Brianna A (big B) 2 goals and fighting the flu bug.
The finals uh oh we are up against Timmins again who have only allowed 1 goal against in three games. But our girls are sour and they don't like the taste of losing so with coaches orders early bed time no late night partying or beer drinking and then Jordyn asks what about "Palm Bays". We are back at the arena for 7:30 am in Alliston for pre game warm ups to get the girls woke up. The girls know they are in for a real battle and they are geared up for it and want to show Timmins how good they are and holy crap what a game! this game had everything blood, sweat , no tears this is girls hockey I think I even seen Bailey spit out some teeth at one point. as she was swearing at the ref! These two squads came to play and boy are they leaving it on the ice the Timmins goalie is stopping everything we are throwing at her she did a great job if not for her we could have been up a couple goals but not to be outdone Brianna G was putting on a show in our end frustrating there shooters. 3rd period comes and still notted at 0's . With scoring chances going back and forth and some ferocious backchecking done by both teams we are heading to overtime 4 on 4 , finally with some open ice one of there shooters got the puck up & hit the top corner (damn it) they win! but wow what a game and there where a lots of empty seats in the arena because this game was just so good you just couldn't sit down! Even the three amigos Brooke, Bella & Lorne stopped eating candy to watch and cheer on there big Sisters. Player of the game was Brianna G, Even though the girls where disappointed with the loss they still held there heads high because there are good losses and bad losses and this was a good loss because they never quit. Congratulations to the Timmins team on a well earned victory.
