Rams learn tough lesson in Wingham
WINGHAM
-- The Mount Forest peewee C Rams got another reminder of what will
happen when they aren't dialed in for a complete game.
A determined Lucknow squad took advantage of a flat group of Rams and came away with a 2-1 decision in Friday night's WOAA league game.
Coming off an emotional series sweep against the Orangeville Tigers in a provincial qualifier, the Rams came out flat in a not-unexpected letdown and looked nothing like the team that earned a trip to Toronto in April.
"The loss was a good lesson for our team," said assistant coach Christine R. "Wins aren't handed out. They have to be earned."
Paige D. scored the lone goal for Mount Forest.
The team hits the ice on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for practice in Clifford.
