Novice Rep, U9, 2016-17 (Mt Forest Minor Hockey Association)

The Novie Rep Rams are ready to roll in to the playoffs.  After finishing the season with only 2 losses in their last 14 games this group is hitting their stride at the right time.  I'm sure the competition is not wanting to play us right now.  As the coach I couldn't be any happier with the game to game effort by all and am very proud of the development of each kid from the start of the season up to this point.  Bring on the playoffs!!!!

From December 27-30 the Mount Forest Novice Rep Rams were in Ripley for the 30th anniversay of the Kincardine Regional Silver Stick   The Rams were placed in a group with Listowel, Elmvale and Tavistock.  First game was against Listowel.  Mount Forest owned the majority of the good scoring chances but couldn't beat the Listowel goalie.  Finally at the mid point of the 2nd Mount Forest broke through with a short handed goal by Jake McLeod, unassisted.   The Rams kept pressuring Listowel and continued to own the puck but couldn't get an insurance goal.  With 5 minutes left in the game Listowel ...

This last Saturday the Mount Forest Novice Rep Rams travelled to Minto for the Jeff Davies Memorial tourney.  Action started early at 8am against the Wallace Sabres.  The Rams cruised to a decisive 5-0 win.  Next up at 11am was Bruce Peninsula.  After giving up their first goal of the tournament just 8 seconds in to the game the Rams then poured on the pressure and never looked back earning a 6-1 win in a chippy battle.  Walkerton Hawks were the only other team to go 2-0 in the round robin and were our opponent in the "A" final.  The Rams were determined and won every puck battle throughout ...

This past weekend the novice rep Rams travelled to Goderich to play in their first tournament of the season   Action started friday night against the BCH Ice Dogs.  Although falling behind early the Rams battled back to a decisive 4-2 win outshooting their opponent by a large margin

 This weekend the Novice Rep Rams are in Goderich for their first tournament of the season.   First game is Friday night at 5 PM against BCH.   Saturday's  action starts at 11 AM against the host team Goderich then  again at 2:30 versus Central Perth.   Hopefully some very hard work and a couple of wins will get us through to Sunday's action.    Let's have some fun and Go Rams Go!!!
