The Rams show good performance against Blyth
As another game against Blyth gets underway, the girls look a bit tired as the game starts. It must be frustrating for them knowing you seem to play just one person, but...

... as we forget the outcome and only concentrate on the game it self, it was definitely a good game! After the first two minutes and two goals Mount Forest wakes up and pick up speed and at that point the game starts. As Samantha intercepts the puck from Blyth and the Rams push forward. Haley, Samantha and Gillian show some great work around the Blyth net as they pass it and create chances by perseverance. Natalie and Meagan bring the puck in, while Danielle decides to go for the player, way to go! As Natalie finds to players on her she almost succeeds.

Allyson keeps the play alive as the puck ends up on Gillian stick and she goes for the wraparound. The puck shows up near Jenna who chases an icing down.

A face off on the Blyth side gives another icing and that was repeated for a bit, almost felt like watching tennis...

Then we were back to good action as Allyson gives a great pass to Danielle the puck comes back and with Jenna’s help she sents Haley for a breakaway and a great chance, with Gillian on her side Haley gives a great pass to her, she shoots just wide. Blyth doesn’t wait and Mount Forest is saved by the buzzer.

The second period starts Natalie passes nicely to Danielle who gets it right on Meagans stick, a shuffle in front of the Blyth net and then....they all fell down.

But the girls work hard when they are on the ice, there cheeks glow red and a pass from  Gillian to Haley gives her a chance for a goal and with the goalie down the puck should have been lifted.

Then frustration sets in a bit and the girls start fighting each other for the puck and Mount Forest misses chances that way as one is in a better position to shoot then the other. But with some help from Danielle, Natalie set a great example and with a nice backhand she gets the first goal in for Mount Forest.

As Jordyn decides to go for it, she unfortunately is cut short by the buzzer. With some confusion as who was playing this game, Atom or Peewee, the peewee line was announced during the second intermission.

The third period is al for the Rams, penalty and goal, Danielle got both. The penalty for hooking as she prevented a goal for Blyth.

Jordyn took another chance as she confidently and smoothly came all the way from the Mount Forest end to give it a shot, but the puck stays in and with a nice pass to Allyson, who shoots just wide off the net from the blue line.

As Danielle works hard for the puck and gives a pass to Haley, but Blyth is a bit to quick, Jordyn picks up that puck from them and goes around. A great pass from Samantha to Gillian gives her a chance but it is stopt by the Bulldogs goalie. As the game winds down Allyson makes sure the puck doesn’t leave the Blyths end as Danielle gives Mount Forest their second goal nicely up and over the goalie. Natalie gives it one more try and her wraparound passes in front off the goalline and behind the goalie. Mount Forest definitely had great chance to come even the score, they just need a bit more muscle power!
