Orangeville - Mount Forest Play off Game 2
The game had a quick start in both directions as Haley gets the first chance getting up and close the Orangeville net...

... with a good pass from Samantha only to be picked up by Orangeville, who countered the attack and had Marissa making the first save off this game. The face off starts with a struggle for the puck in front off the Mount Forest net, but a nice pass goes in between the Tigers from Gillian to Natalee, but they don’t get to far. Another good set up follows a the Rams go on the attack and a pass is just a little too slow and comes up short behind Natalie.

The Rams are dominating this game so far and Samantha brings it back in, but good opportunities are missed by not looking around for that split second to find a teammate that is ready and free to pick up the puck.

A great pass from Danielle gets the stands on their feet and with a breakaway that follows from Natalie. Unfortunately ending on the Orangeville post. It would have been a complete different game if that would have been a goal, now the game turned around and has Marissa  making another save.

Gillian takes off with the puck and her shot is hard but ends on a Orangeville player instead. Natalee has great chance to go for the break away but forgot all about it and went for a change instead, Orangeville was there waiting, picked the puck up and scored, 1-0. Girls, girls, girls......

The next shift, Samantha picks up the puck, gets close and with a nice backhand pass to Natalie as she takes it around the boards the puck has other ideas and stays put, stuck on the boarding. Cali makes a break for it but comes up empty handed, the puck stays in and another shot comes from behind the net, but finds the Orangeville goalie ready.

Jenna works hard to intercept a few attacks on Marissa and does so succesfully. The Rams get lucky as a four on one from Orangeville and a bad shot miss the net completely. Jordyn has a hard time as the only colour she sees is orange and has to turn on a dime a few times to help the goalie out. Another break away from Orangeville has Marissa making a great leg save and keep the girls in the game.

Meagan keeps the puck in the Tigers end but although see had a great shot in mind, she just misses the chance for a one timer.

As we get into the third period a hard blue line shot from Allyson keeps the puck alive and gives Natalee the chance for a shot on net. A face off follows and the puck is played around nicely as the puck moves towards the blue line Cali is way to far off to keep it in and Mount Forest loses the chance for a goal right there.

Although they are getting tired Mount Forest keeps going and Meagan comes up with a shot that passes right in front of the Orangeville goalie but nobody ready to tip it in. An offside call that gets the face off on the Mount Forest side and ends up being the 2-0 for Orangeville.

The next attack has Gillian’s shot going wide but it comes back and she takes another poke at it, but it stays put underneath an orangeville player. A loose puck is covered by Jordyn but the next 3 on 1 could not be stopped, 3-0. A last attack from Mount Forest with a pass from Natalee to Gillian, one last chance with 2 seconds on the clock, but no luck. But then again, luck is only hard work meeting an opportunity and Mount Forest needs to work that little bit more effective and they will make great things happen, we know it, we have seen it....!
