Mount Forest - Orangeville Play off Game 1
A game that started off in the right direction but a quick turnaround got Marissa sprawling out trying to cover all 4 corners off her net. But a quick as it went one way...

...it turned on a dime and Natalee goes in with a nice shot on the Orangeville net. Haley makes sure it keeps coming back in front off the net but no one around to take it. Jordyn  stretches and the puck stays were it should be. A quick change from the bench got the Tigers confused and Natalie takes advantage and a very nice first goal is a fact. As the game goes on in a fast pace a nice pass from Allyson finds its way to Gillians stick and over to Natalie, a great play to watch.

Jenna makes sure the puck stays in, but Orangeville is fast and it finds it way under Marissa glove and she makes sure it stays there. Danielle comes in and with a great shot that goes just wide. Haley shows a courage that is way bigger than she is and works on the boards. The tigers make get it towards the Mount Forest net but Jenna and Allyson are ready to take them on the horns. Samantha makes a great steel in their end but surprises herself with it and loses the moment to take advantage, as the game turns around in the last seconds of the first period Danielle gets a great pass over to Meagan who is cut short by the buzzer.

As the second period starts, Jenna finds herself facing a two on one but knows what to do. As the play continues in the right direction, Samantha intercepts another puck and off they go, when Meagan stick hits an Orangeville player and she could not stay on her feet, which gets Meagan a few minutes to reflect.

But even with four Mount Forest keeps attacking a Natalee gives a great, fair body check which only goes unnoticed by the referees and nobody else, way the go girl! Samantha gets it around the net and with a pass to Haley but nobody around to finish. The Rams come close to the Orangeville net many times but not many shots are fired. Natalie tries to make up for it but the goalie was ready. After a face off Mount Forest faces a three on one and a push and a shuffle later it is 1-1.

After this goal the Rams seem to severely slow down and find themselves chasing the puck in the wrong direction and that blue line seems to get higher and higher, no puck seem to want to cross it even when it is laying right in front off it, the girls can’t get it out.     But Marissa looks sharp, which is good because she has lots to do.

The third period starts off with both teams fighting for the puck at center ice, Orangeville comes up with 2 shots on net with Marissa all over it. The Rams make their way back to the Tigers end and Haley passes it out front but no one on the receiving end and the play goes right back towards the Mount Forest net and another 2 great saves for Marissa. The girls can’t seem to gain control of the puck, it moves from one end to the other a few times before Allyson winds up with a checking penalty. Mount Forest shows great penalty killing for the second time this game. As the penalty is almost over and Mount Forest getting ready for full strength the next penalty is a tripping one. The girls look tired and have trouble getting that puck out off their own end. Jenna finally gets a break and is able to move the puck and take a shot, as it moves right back to the Mount Forest end with no one to cover for her its a easy one for Orangeville and they make it 2-1. The Tigers put the heat on and have several more shots on net, but Marissa is doing a good job of shutting them down.

A time-out with 2 minutes on the clock, Mount Forest puts some good effort back in to the game as the pull their goalie. With lots of action going on in front off the Orangeville net, they end up with a 22 second power play but they can’t get another in and the clocks stops with a 2-1 for Orangeville on the board.
