The Midget Girls HL returned to action with a big win over Belmore after taking a 3 week break from games.

Mount Forest HL Girls played their first game of the home town tournament on Thursday Jan. 7th against neighbour rivals Normanby HL. The game was very even with great plays and no finishes for either team until one minute into the third period. Danielle Grotenhuis picked up a Jenna Yake rebound to put the locals on the board. 5 minutes later Courtney Hawksworth and Heather Gilley combined to slide one into the MoFo net. The Mount Forest Midget HL Girls played a solid game at the Reeves' Cup and extended their unbeaten streak to 5 games

The MoFo Girls travelled to Ayton for their pre Christmas get together on Thursday the 17th. The game stayed quite even for the first 20 minutes with action at both ends of the ice. Nearing the end of the second Deanna Heiber worked the puck into the offensive end where Lizzie Gerrie won the battle in the corner and made a perfect pass to Danielle Grotenhuis who made no mistake with 2.22 on the clock.

Midget HL Girls travelled to Chesley to take on the Arran Elderslie Rep team for an exhibition match. The MoFo Girls worked hard against a team that outnumbered and outsized them. Laura Rumph stopped more rubber in net than she would see in a month of practices while the defence did all they could to stop the Home team from running her too hard.
