Rams Declaw Orangeville Tigers 7-2
On Sunday December 6th, the Orangeville Tigers came to Mount Forest for a rematch.
The Rams came out quickly with the first line of Owen M., Brody L. and Patrick B. setting the tone for the game with their aggressive forechecking.
Mount Forest got on the board first, with Luke E., on a breakaway putting one into the top of Orangeville's net.
Seconds later Owen W. received a pass from Patrick B., made some nice moves and finished with a shot just inside the right post to give Mount Forest an early 2-0 lead.
In the second period it was more of the same from Mount Forest and Luke E., with Luke E. going end to end and scoring five hole. Dylan D. and Ashton H. continued the Rams attack with Ashton H. firing the puck past the Tiger's netminder making it 4-0. Luke E. completed the hat trick by again going high over the shoulder of the goaltender extending the lead to 5-0.
At 4:03 of the second, Orangeville got on the board. Mount Forest responded less than a minute later when Owen T. came down the wing, took a shot that was initially stopped - but Brayden D. going hard to the net, was able to shove it home.
In the 3rd period the Orangeville Tigers scored to make it 6-2. Late in the 3rd, Brody L. was able to get the puck to Owen T., who skated in all alone going under the crossbar of the Tiger's net - making the final score Mount Forest 7 and Orangeville 2.
