Mount Forest Victorious in Reeves Challenge Cup
On Sunday January 3rd 2010, the Rams hosted Walkerton Novice Local League for the Reeves Challenge Cup.
Mount Forest came out ready to play with Owen M. putting the home side up 1-0 early. The Rams added another near the end of the 1st with Patrick B. beating the Walkerton goalie with the assist going to Luke E.
In the 2nd period Mount Forest continued its fine play - Luke E. got a pass from Ashton H. and beat the Walkerton goaltender to make it 3-0. Shortly after, Luke E. again found the back of the net after receiving a pass from Patrick B.
Brody L. then followed with a goal of his own extending the Rams lead to 5-0.
Walkerton got on the board towards the end of the second but before the period ended Eric M. replied for the home team -assisted by Brody L. making it 6-1 going into the third.
In the third period Mount Forest did not let up with Dylan D. sliding one into Walkerton's net from Brody L.
Walkerton scored to make it 7-2, but again Mount Forest had an answer with Owen T. putting one high into the net - that goal was followed by Brody L. for his second goal, making the final 9-2.
