Atom LL play in the Drayton Tournament
The Atom LL team hit the road Saturday morning to take part in the 9th annual Drayton tournament.
The Rams played their first game against Elora. These two teams proved to be quite evenly matched. The game was exciting with fast breaks and great saves at both ends of the ice. The Rams did not give up, they kept working hard and were rewarded with a 4-3 win. Hunter Radojcin had another great game in net. Goal scorers for the game were Alec Beauregard, Nathan Zeinstra, Joseph Ferguson and Ben Wildeman, each with 1. Assits were from Noah Felsbourg, Ethan Smart and Alexander Varallo.
After lunch and some down time, the team was set to play their second game against Aaron-Elderslie. This was a tough game for Mount Forest. The Rams battled hard but the game ended in a 7-2 loss for the boys. Hunter Radojcin was fantastic in net with quick hands, many great stops and breakaway saves. Ben Wildeman scored the 2 goals for the team, with Alec Beauregard assisting both and Spencer McArthur with one as well.
It was good for the team to get the chance to play some strong teams as it will surely give them a boost and get them going in the right direction.
