Atom LL Win Two More Games of the Playoffs
On Saturday February 25th, the Atom LL team hosted the Mildmay Monarchs. Hustling right off the first puck drop was key in getting into game mode.
After the 1st few minutes it was obvious that the Rams were keen to score and score they did! The boys came out with a 6-2 win over the Monarchs. Scoring goals for Mount Forest were Alec Beauregard and Joseph Ferguson, each with two. Scoring singles were Noah Felsbourg and Spencer MacArthur. Assists went to Noah Felsbourg, Tyler Stewart, Alexander Varallo, Ben Wildeman and Nathan Zeinstra, each with two and Joseph Ferguson and
Brett Stewart each with one.
On Tuesday February 28th, the Rams travelled to Listowel to play the Cyclones. The boys had to win the game to continue into the playoffs. They got off to a slow start and found themselves down by a score of 4-1 after two periods. The team did not give up, they kept working hard and were about to play their best period of hockey this season. They battled back and scored three goals to tie and then win the game, final score 5-4!! Goal scorers for the game were Nathan Zeinstra with 3 and Ben Wildeman with 2. Alex Beauregard, Joseph Ferguson and Tyler Stewart had 2 assists, while single assists went to Noah Felsbourg and Brett Stewart.
There was much to cheer about in both of these games. The Rams played strong with lots of hustle and good decision making. And as always, goaltender Hunter Radojcin was amazing in net. Way to go Rams!!
