Two Tough Losses
On Saturday January 14, 2012, the Atom LL travelled to Milverton to take on the Drives.
It was a close game from the start, as the teams traded scoring chances at both ends of the rink. Milverton ended the first period with a 1-0 lead. The Rams were not about to give up, they continued to work hard and scored 1 goal in the second period making it a one goal game heading into the third period. Scoring was Ethan Smart, assisted by Joseph Ferguson and Nathan Zeinstra. The boys kept digging and working hard to try and tie the game up. Hunter Radojcin was pulled out of the net, with one minute left on the clock. But in the end, Milverton was able to score another goal, making the final 3-1 for the home team.
On Sunday January 15, 2012, the Rams hosted the Mitchell Meteors. This was a defensive battle right from the first drop of the puck. The Rams defence had a tough job keeping the opposition from scoring. Defence continues to improve as they are called on game after game to defend their own end. Hunter Radojcin was in net and made many great saves, keeping his team in the game. The forwards had a tough time getting scoring chances and skating hard to break up some offensive rushes by the Mitchell team. The Rams had to defend against 4 penalties. Final score
