Penalties Still Plague Pee Wees
The Mildmay Monarchs flew into town to take on our Pee Wee LL boys.  We knew they were a strong team and our penalties got us into trouble early on.  With the shot count at 6-1 for Mildmay in the first period, Captain Alex makes a great rush to the other end.  No luck on that try and he hustled back into position with his defence partner Mitchell.  At the halfway mark in the first period, Brennon was leveled in front of the penalty box.  This brought trainer Ed out onto the ice to ensure he was ok and sent us onto a power play.  Determined to get something started, Chris and Jayson kept trying to make their way to the net.  Keaton takes a hard hit in the corner but seems unfazed and keeps pushing on.

The second period was more of the same.  After sitting 2 min for our goalies penalty, Kyle made his presence known to the Mildmay boys, rubbing them along the glass and coming out with the puck!  Mitchell held his own in the defensive end, using the boards and trying to get the puck back out to our forwards.
Down 2-0 after 2 periods the fans were hoping for a turn around after the flood.  Unfortunately it was not to be and another penalty in the third left Tyler juggling the puck and fending off shots.  Always quick with his glove hand and freezing it as much could he did well but still, 2 more found their way into the net.
With a final score of 4-0 our boys are looking forward to practice on Sunday to work on getting back to basics.  It'll come together and we'll be ready for Mildmay when we meet them again in early December.

As a side note, this team plays better with a full cheering section.  So come out and make some noise on Tuesday night @ 7:30 when we take on the Listowel Cyclones at home!!
