PeeWee Girls C, U13, 2015-2016 (Mt Forest Minor Hockey Association)

    This past weekend the peewee girls were off to the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League Championship Weekend featuring the top 4 teams in the  Peewee C division 2 out of the East Division and 2 out of the West division. This is the dubbed the " Best of the Best" as we are awarded medals for the regular season winners and shirts with that logo on them.

    The girls had to playoff against the Grand River Mustangs to get to provincials this year and  after getting a bye in the first round of the Lower Lakes playoffs our 2nd round opponent would be no other than the Grand River Mustangs again. So with 2 best of 3 series set up for provincials and LL playoffs the Rams took to the ice. To be expected by the end of the 2 series there was definetly some bad blood between the 2 teams.

The peewee girls joined into the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League this year and found it very competitive with them having to battle hard every game which is why we jumped on this opportunity to move there. After 22 games and all by very close scores which says a lot about the level of competition.

    The Peewee girls had a busy weekend with 1 game Saturday and a double header on Sunday and a crazy Christmas lunch with this many girls all together!!

    This past weekend was the inaugural girls Classic and the arena was full from Friday through the finals on Sunday morning, parents grandparents friends and even patrons of the craft show got caught up in all the action of the weekend.
