Rams end Slide
Submitted
By dmoran on Dec 31, 2008 (2033 views)
After playing some solid hockey in the Lucknow Silver Stick the Rams fell to some quality opponents in league and exhibition play. At the Silver Stick the Juvies started slowly, losing a 5-2 tilt to Listowel. They did finish off with 2 of their best games of the year - beating Saugeen Shores 4-1 and then Tilsonburg with a 5-3 marker. This gave the local Rams a tidy 10-3 record at this Tourney over the past 3 years. Back to seasonal play they came out with a lopsided 11-3 win over Howick with Jordan Barber and Evan Shortreed leading the way with 2 goals and an assist each.

Juvenile Rams on Fire!
Submitted
By dmoran on Nov 30, 2008 (907 views)
After starting the season 0-3, the Rams have rebounded to go 6-1-1 over the next 8 games. They have rediscovered the scoring touch from all 3 lines and received solid goal tending from Brett Aitken and his back up Krystal Corley. This past weekend saw the Rams roll up a convincing 9-0 win in Teeswater Friday night and followed that up with another huge win - that 10-1 against Clifford. The true marker though would be the match up with the Arthur Vipers Sunday afternoon at home. They had already suffered 2 lopsided losses to the Vipers just a few weeks ago.

Rams Roll in Lopsided Win
Submitted

The Rams rolled to a dominating 9-1 win over the game but shorthanded visiting Howick Juveniles. After playing shorthanded themselves in Arthur last week, Howick arrived with only 8 skaters. Despite generating several scoring chances throughout the first period it wasn't until 1:20 of the first period that the Rams were able to bulge the twine on a nice powerplay marker on a feed from Ian Corley to Evan Shortreed. Less than a minute later Jordan Barber made it 2-0 on a nice shot off a sweet rebound on a blast from Colin Moran at the point. Howick did come out strong early in the 2nd period, ...

Rams Grab Split on busy weekend.

The Juvenile Rams travelled down Highway 6 for a Friday evening tilt with the Vipers in Arthur. The drastically shorthanded squad put on a heroic effort. With only 7 skaters the Rams did eventually fall to the Vipers by a 7-2 margin but every man (and woman) played with a ton of heart. The Rams did manage a couple of goals - Roice McDougall-Lamont with his first of the year with the helper to Evan Shortreed in the 2nd frame, followed by Colin Moran notching one from the corner of the net with Matt Ostrander doing all the work. Of note, Krystal Corley made a strong debut with the Rams late in ...

Rams Battle Nemesis to Standstill
Submitted
By dmoran on Nov 09, 2008 (854 views)
The Juvenile Rams travelled to Seaforth for a friday evening tilt on November 9th. The 2 teams have had several memorable meetings over the past few years at both the Silver Stick and in the WOAA finals. This game did not start out favouralbly for the Rams as they quickly fell behind 2-0 just minutes into the game. The squad did not stop skating and managed to make it close on a pretty goal by JD Pinder on a wonderful effort by Captain Ian Corley. Early in the 2nd frame, Colin Moran was the recipient of a juicy rebound off a dazzling rush by Justin Coburn to knot the game at 2's. Seaforth ...
