Rams Battle Nemesis to Standstill
The Juvenile Rams travelled to Seaforth for a friday evening tilt on November 9th.  The 2 teams have had several memorable meetings over the past few years at both the Silver Stick and in the WOAA finals.
This game did not start out favouralbly for the Rams as they quickly fell behind 2-0 just minutes into the game.  The squad did not stop skating and managed to make it close on a pretty goal by JD Pinder on a wonderful effort by Captain Ian Corley.  Early in the 2nd frame, Colin Moran was the recipient of a juicy rebound off a dazzling rush by Justin Coburn to knot the game at 2's.  Seaforth was able to regain the lead, but JD Pinder again responded with the assist going to Ryan Pinder. Seaforth came out strongly in the 3rd and grabbed a 6-3 lead only minutes into the period.  What appeared to be an insurmountable lead did not stop the Rams from continuing to skate and forecheek.  They were responded when Pinder completed his hat trick on a nice feed from Captain Corley and Evan Shortreed.  Minutes later Corley was at it again setting up JD for his 4th marker of the game to pull the team within 1.  With less than 7 minutes left in the game the Rams tied the game up with a strong individual effort by Matt Ostrander.   At 5:08 Colin Moran scored on an open slapshot after Zach Arthurs and Mitchell Ferguson found him open on the point. Credit the Seaforth Juveniles who pressed hard as well and notched the final goal of the game with only 2 minutes left to leave the game in a well deserved tie for both teams.  The intensity of this game has left the fans looking forward to the future match ups between these two squads.
