Atom LL Win One, Lose One
The Atom LL took to the ice on Sat.Dec 17th and came away with a 13-0 win and another shut out for Hunter Radojcin!
Mount Forest came on strong right from the first drop of the puck. Scoring for the Rams: Joseph Ferguson 3 goals, 2 assists HAT TRICK!!, Nathan Zeinstra 3 goals, HAT TRICK!!, Alec Beauregard 2 goals, 1 assist, Ben Wildeman 2 goals, Spencer McArthur 1 goal, 3 assists, Ethan Smart 1 goal, 2 assists, Brett Stewart 1 goal, 3 assists and Tyler Stewart 1 assist. Great defensive work from Noah Felsbourg and Alexander Varallo, who kept the puck away from the Rams net. Way to go Rams !!
The following day Mount Forest travelled to Harriston to play Minto #2. The crowd saw plenty of action in the first period by both teams as they seemed to be pretty evenly matched. Hunter Radojcin played another fabulous game and was quick to cover up any loose pucks after making some great saves. Near the end of the first period Minto #2 scored the first goal.
In the second period, Mount Forest got one back though when Everett Kerr (helping the Rams out from the Novice team) made a rush to the net and took a shot and put one past their goaltender unassisted. The period ended with a 1-1 tie.
The third period saw some great back and forth goal scoring. Scoring for the Rams: Ben Wildeman 1 goal, assisted by Joseph Ferguson, and Alec Beauregard 1 goal, assisted by Spencer McArthur. It looked like the game might end in a tie, but with 11 seconds left in the game, Minto #2 scored to take the lead. Minto#2 ended up defeating the Rams 4-3. Everyone played a hard game and made the coaches proud!!!
