Atom Girls Gearing Up To Defend Title
A mid season hiccup gave us a reason to get refocused last weekend. The girls took their loss as a learning opportunity and turned their game play around in the Durham tournament. With the team back in old form they went on to defeat the Normanby team 2-0 and then Aaran-Elderslie with a whopping score of 7-1 to earn them the B side championship.
At practice Tuesday night, Kevin had last years Championship banner hanging in the dressing room to remind the girls to keep their eye on the prize. We are looking to defend their title at the Orangeville Tigers Sweetheart tournament starting tomorrow and running through to Sunday. This is the big one we've been working towards....let's go ladies and show them what our Atom Rams Girls are made of!!
Game #1 is against the Caledon Autotek team Friday 10:30 am in the Alder Arena, Game #2 Saturday at noon, will see us taking on the girls next door, the Durham Huskies in the chilly Tony Rose arena and in the same arena later that evening we will take on the Grand River Mustangs, 7 pm game time.
The girls are fired up and if they play together like they did last weekend there'll be no stopping them....GO RAMS GO!!!!!
