The Season Opener
Well the first game of the year is under our belts with a 2-1 loss to Walkerton. The girls came out of the gate pretty nervous with all the new kids this year but by the third period they all started to settle in with some encouragement from the coaches.
The girls got on the score sheet with 6 mins to play in the 3rd period when Ella banged in a rebound with assists going to Paige & Chaise. With only 2 mins to play in the game Chaise was on a breakaway and got stoned by a great save from the Walkerton goaltender with Paige and Ella looking to gobble up a rebound but there was none to be found. Walkerton took it to the girls pretty good in the first 2 periods but the girls responded in the 3rd with a real good effort. The defence of Jayde, Jamie ,Shea Lyn and Taryn all had very strong games along with Sandra standing tall in net.
