Walter Gretzky Tournament
By Mark Carson. The girls made it to the semi finals for their second tournament in a row and took on West Lorne. The girls lost 4-0 but if it wasn't for the heart and grit of this team this game could have really got out of hand. They had a really strong team and our girls gave it everything they had. Even though they lost, the girls could not stop talking about how much fun this tournament was. The girls enjoyed such things as getting to meet Walter Gretzky, having a photographer taking pictures of the them playing hockey and not to be out done was the shopping tables so they could shop till they dropped. There was also the of the size of this tournament. This was an all girls event and had 138 teams, even one team from as far away as Alaska. Great job this weekend girls!
