Game 26 Recap
by Mark Carson. The girls were a little shorthanded tonight missing 3 players but grinded out a 2-1 win against their rivals from West Grey. The goal scorers tonight were Evelyn and Ariana. This was the girls final regular season game and with the win the Rams locked up 2nd place overall. The girls also finished season as the #1 defensive team only allowing 15 goals against. For a first year team with 5 skaters who have never played hockey before and only finished 2 points out of first place is really quite remarkable. The girls were able to do this by frustrating teams with their relentless attack and capitalizing on the chances they were given. Even though the regular season is over there is still a lot of hockey to be played for the girls.
We have 3 exhibition games, league championship tournament and a tournament in Brampton to finish out the 2013/14 peewee girls house league season. Great job so far this season girls and lets play hard and have fun with the time we have left in this season.
