Game 27 Recap
By Mark Carson. On Friday night the girls played Upper Maitland in an exhibition game. Upper Maitland and Georgian Shores have dropped down from C division to HL, so the girls will now have 2 more opponents in their league tournament. As for the game tonight the girls won 2-1 in dominating fashion. The girls totally controlled the game from start to finish and the only goal the Mustangs got came late in the 3rd period. This goal tied the game up at 1-1 and created a lot of outrage from the Rams and their fans. One of the Mustang players was obviously hooking Abby which allowed another player to get around her and went in one on one against Sandra. There was no call on the hook from the ref which made the Ram faithful a little upset.
But as usual the Rams never quit until the final whistle blows. The Rams came right back and Ariana found some open ice with a little over a minute left and buried the game winner. Ariana's goal was assisted by Chloe and Avery. The other goal came from Evelyn and was an unassisted beautiful end to end rush. The girls have 2 more exhibition games this weekend against Upper Maitland and Owen Sound. The Rams will be looking for the weekend sweep to get 20 wins on the season. Lets go Rams!!!
