Another Weekend Split
The Atom girls had another 2 game weekend that resulted in a win and a loss to he same squads as last weekend.

The Lady Rams travelled to St. Jacobs Saturday to square off against the Woolwich Wild. The girls had trouble getting any real good scoring chances against the Wild and found themselves playing defense for the majority of the game. The first period ended scoreless with great play from both sides. The second was much the same till the Wild were fortunate enough to grab the lead 1-0 heading to the third. The girls put a lot of miles on their skates this game and ran out of gas in the third period surrendering 4 goals to Woolwich. The final score was 5-0 Woolwich but it was actually much closer than the scoreboard tallied. Afterwards the Wild bench staff admitted that we gave them a run for their money for a good portion of the game as well as our last contest with them. Good job girls!
Sunday the Rams played host to the Kitchener Lady Rangers and provided the fans with some spirited play. The entire game was quite close and evenly matched skill wise between the two teams. The Rams would take the lead seconds in to the 2nd frame after Natalie made an impressive rush from one end to the other and slipped one past the Kitchener goalie. The girls did find the net twice more during the contest but both times the goals were disallowed by the men in black and white. The girls hung tough and kept the Rangers off the scoresheet to win 1-0. Good job this weekend girls, keep working hard and being aggressive!
