GOLD at Girls Classic
Our girls compiled 5 straight wins to become 3peat champs at their home tourney this weekend in a combined B/C division.
Game 1 Friday the girls faced off against TCDMHA Rebels and dominated from the outset, walking away with a 10-0 victory. Game 2 Friday afternoon versus Mitchell Meteors was a little different as the girls could only manage one goal but that was all that was needed for the 1-0 win. It must be said that the Mitchell goalie was stellar between the pipes as she turned away a barrage of shots from our girls.
Game 3 Saturday morning versus the Saugeen Shores Storm resulted in a 4-0 win as the girls continued their strong play. Game 4 Saturday afternoon in the semi-final was a rematch against TCDMHA. The girls dominated for the majority of this game as well and cruised to a decisive 7-0 win.
Sunday's final the Rams took to the ice against Saugeen Shores. Constant pressure from the girls throughout the game resulted in a well deserved 5-0 victory. Although the competition may not have been the strongest this weekend for the Lady Rams, all of their opponents gave a valiant effort and should be proud of their play.
This entire weekend and all year up to this point our girls have played as a team with everyone contributing to our early success. Our puck movement has been strong and all 14 girls strive to become better players and it sure is a pleasure to coach this group of young ladies. Keep up the great team work and positive attitude girls you have been epic to watch! GO RAMS GO!!
