Achilles Heel
U-15 gentlemen exposed their vulnerability to the Wingham Ironmen tonight and received their first playoff loss.
No one at the net and missed passing opportunities laid the Rams open for the 7-2 loss.
The game opened with the Ironmen scoring four goals in less than nine minutes, leaving the Rams back on their heels, struggling to generate offence. Mount Forest's right defenceman #13 Brennan B. scored an unassisted power play goal to give the Rams a nudge in the right direction. It was quickly squelched by a fifth, first period goal, for the Ironmen.
The second period was a drought for both teams as no goals were scored and no penalties called. Ram's goalie #1 Silas S. stood tall in net to give the team a chance to rally.
Third period action saw a goal from #18 Troy A, and another two for Wingham.
A tough rivalry is beginning to take shape as the Rams will have an opportunity to recover when Wingham returns for the tie breaker tomorrow night.
