After a busy day on Saturday at the tournament the boys had time to rest and welcome Mildmay to home ice.

The boys wanted a win as the championship game the night before ended their 9 game winning streak.  The Rams dominated the first period with the team playing as a whole.  Reaman opened up the scoring for the Rams after receiving a perfect pass from Acheson out of the corner.  Shortly after, Mulder with the puck took a look to see teammate Coburn heading up the ice. With a hard pass Coburn carried the puck into their end and lifted the puck right over the goalies shoulder.
Mildmay then broke away at center ice and walked in the Mount Forest end and with a blistering shot hit the crossbar.
Thanks to defence Reeves, W. Zeinstra, Keiffer, Sylvestre, and J. Zeinstra for keeping the puck inside the blue line the Hungry Rams continued to have opportunities to score.  But it wasn't until Lewis who was behind the net fell, but while on his stomach still poking at the puck wrapped it around the net to Weber at the point who took a shot but it was Hodgins on the rebound that was able to cash in.
With 52.7 seconds left in the period Mulder scored the final goal of the period with the assist going to Dallaire.
The 2nd period goaltender Kroes was seeing a lot of rubber as Mildmay was wanting a goal.
Dumping the puck into the Mildmay end Hodgins took off like a bullet and from behind the net passed out front to Lewis to one time it in.
Mildmay came right back after Lewis' goal to score their 1st of the game.
To finish off the 2nd period Reaman banked the puck off the boards behind the net to a waiting Acheson on the other side of the net who quickly passed to new line mate of the game Elliott at the point to score his first goal of the game.  The boys ended the period 6-1.
The 3rd period Mildmay was coming on strong and dominating the play.  With many shots and opportunities the visiting team made good on their chances after a deflection in front of the net put the rubber past Kroes.
In an attempt to clear the puck out of their end the Rams were starting to take some penalities and with 6:22 left in the 3rd and 2 men shorthanded the Rams gave up another goal giving Mildmay their 3rd and final goal of the game.
Regrouping the Rams set out down the ice. Mulder from the top of the circle passed to Reaman at the side of the net and out front to a waiting Elliott who again scored.
Just to finish off the game with added excitement Keiffer was rushing into the corner to get the puck when his new stick got stuck in the Zamboni door.  Thankfully for mom and dad Keiffer the new stick did not break.. The boys next game is Wednesday night in Lucknow at 6:40.
