Pee Wee Local League, U13, 2011/2012 (Mt Forest Minor Hockey Association)

It's hard to slow a good team down...after that tough loss in triple OT way back in the London tournament our Peewee LL boys have not let their guard down.  They won the last of their league games, annihilated the competition in some exhibition games and dominated all the others to win the Championship at the Seaforth Tournament over the weekend.  This set up a 12 game winning streak as they headed into Hanover for the first of their playoff games tonight.

And I quote from Head Coach Kevin Rice...."The Peewee LL team has been racking up the wins lately, the result of hard work and coming together to play as a team.  The boys were already playing some good hockey in preparation for the London tournament on the weekend of Jan 13-15th.    I don't know if it was the change of scenery or not but when we arrived in London these young men came to play!!

Way to go Boys! This weekend we went out to get 2 wins and did exactly that.

After coming off a big 4-0 win in arthur last Sunday, the boys are looking for a couple wins at home this weekend to put us up over the .500 mark on the season.

It was a game full of twists and turns as the Pee Wee LL took on the Listowel Cyclones tonight.  Period one had us shaking our heads as we were down 1-0 early on, had our first waved off goal and many missed scoring chances.  With some players trying out new positions, it took our boys some time to find their groove.  They did well holding their own but were unable to adjust the score through the first period of play.
