Silver at Clearview Pink in the Valley Tournament
On the Weekend the Girls had their first tournament of the Season.  The Pee Wee C Girls took Silver at this year's Clearview Pink in the Valley Tournament in support of a cause for Breast Cancer.

The Tournament began on Friday Oct 25th, the girls came up a little short on the first game of the tournament and lost 2-1 to the Waterloo Ravens.  The lone goal went to Aalia Gade assisted by Taylor Mclellan.  The Game MVP went to Rams Goalie Marissa Cottingham.

The girls came back on Saturday with a much better performance and defeated the Woodstock Wildcats.  The first goal came from Taylor Mclellan assisted by Jayde McRobb.  Still in the first period Morgan Flanagan scored her first goal of the season unassisted.  Taylor would score her second of the game in the second period assisted by Hanna Gerrie.  In the Third Period Hanna would add one of her own assisted by Taylor.  To finish of the scoring Kyla Pacheco would take it end to end and make it 5-0 for the Rams.  Marissa Cottingham would have her first shutout of the season.  The Game MVP went to Hanna Gerrie.

That afternoon they continued their strong game and defeated the Stoney Creek Sabres.  The Rams opened the scoring in the first with Taryn North scoring her first of the season assisted by Hanna and Taylor.  In the second period the Rams struck again and Hanna scored her second of the tournament assisted by Taryn and Taylor.  In the third period the Rams would keep on scoring with Taylor getting her third goal of the tournament assisted by Taryn and Jayde.  Stoney Creek tried to rebound but Marissa continued to shine in net and with the game coming to an end the Rams would strike one more time.  Haven Leblanc would make if 4-0 with her first of the tournament assisted by Morgan and Addison.  Marissa had her second shutout of the season and in back to back games.  The Game MVP went to Addison Fisher.

That win would put the Rams into the semi-final game, their third game of the day, against the undefeated Cold Creek Comets. The girls continued to put out a strong performance.  Addison opened up the scoring for the Rams with her first of the tournament, a nice unassisted goal which started from our blue line.  Haven made it 2-0 with her second goal of the tournament assisted by Aalia and Morgan.  In the second period Hanna would add another unassisted.  Still in the second period Jayde McRobb would launch a shot from the blue line that found its way into the Comets net making it 4-0.  In the third period the Rams would put this game away with Morgan's second goal of the tournament assisted by Haven and Aalia.  The Game MVP went to Jayde McRobb.

With this win the Rams were in the Final against the only other undefeated team, the Ottawa Ice.  The game was full of excitement and once again the Girls continued to give a great performance. At one point killing off a 5 on 3 penalty and matching Ottawa shot for shot.  The Rams did come up a little short and lost the game 1-0 to a strong Ottawa Team.  The Game MVP went to Kyla Pacheo.

Congratulations on winning silver at the Tournament.  These girls came together as a team and we saw scoring coming from both lines and 9 different players in the amount of 15 goals over 5 games.  The Defense played the best they have so far this season allowing only 3 goals in 5 games.  Our Goaltending was amazing with 3 shut outs in a row.  The Pee Wee C Girls should be very proud of themselves and the effort that they put into this tournament.  It is going to be a fun and exciting season!!!!
