Milverton Tournament!
Over the Christmas break the Pee Wee C Girls played in the Milverton Tournament against some tough competition.

The Milverton Tournament had three solid teams battle it out over two days.   The Rams first game was against the Wilmot Wolverines.  The first period would be scoreless with both teams exchanging chances.  In the second period Wilmot started the scoring and the Rams were down 1-0 going into the third.  In the third Taryn North would score to tie the game, assisted by Aalia Gade and Jayde McRobb.  Late in the third the Rams would strike again and it was Addison Fisher who would score the game winner assisted by Evelyn Nanninga.  MVP for the game went to Hanna Gerrie.

The second game would see the Rams up against TCDMHA.  The Rebels would strike early in the first putting the Rams down by one.  Although once again the Rams would not quit and late in the third they were able to tie the game up with a goal from Taylor Mclellan assisted by Taryn North.  Although the Rams were outshot in this game, the defense and Goaltending was superb and the game resulted in a tie.  With outstanding goaltending, including stopping a penalty shot the MVP for the Game was Marissa Cottingham.

In the third game of the tournament the Rams had a rematch with the Wilmot Wolverines.  This game was an exciting game with chances at both ends and some great defensive plays as well as great Goaltending.  The game was scoreless for the first two periods and looked like it might go into ovetime, but with 3:20 left in the third period the Rams got a penalty.  Wilmot was able to capitalize on the powerplay and put the Rams down by one.  Although the Rams kept pressure until the final seconds they were not able to get the tying goal, and lost a close game 1-0. MVP for the game went to Taylor Mclellan.

The Pee Wee C Girls played a great tournament and continue to improve with every game.  Great Effort Girls!!!
